"I am 3/4ths Canadian, and one 4th New Englander - I had ancestors on both sides in the Revolutionary war." - Elizabeth Bishop ____________________________________________
For the past thirty-four years I've been teaching Russian language and literature at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I'm currently serving as the President of the Elizabeth Bishop Society of Nova Scotia.
Sandra Barry
I am a poet and independent scholar, and one of the co-owners of the Elizabeth Bishop House in Great Village, Nova Scotia.
Suzie LeBlanc
I am a professional singer who recently became a great admirer of Elizabeth Bishop's writing. I am also fond of walking and nature and I became involved with the Elizabeth Bishop Centenary because I wanted to have her poems set to music so that I could sing them.
